I wasn't thinking about it, with this story, because I think it's too college-centric and I'm not sure what the market is. I do have a couple of others I might look at. It's so ridiculously hard to keep up with markets... I haven't submitted in a couple of years.

P.S. I am reading your blogging from India!

This last comment you made is ironic and totally resonates. They tell us writers that we should "write what we know" and as a result its hard not to write a bit of ourselves into our stories. Its good that you're revisiting old stuff, I do that frequently and wryly laugh at my naivete and promise. I don't think that writing something that is "autobiographical" in nature is bad, its just hard to be fair (its for that very reason I never took to memoir writing, but rather "specialized" in creative non-fiction of the other people's stories variety). I think, despite what you say, the autobiographical is what makes this story painful, beautiful, and painfully beautiful. Are you revisiting old stuff in the hopes of starting to send out some short stories and whatnot for publication? You should! And if so, I've got a few places for you to look if you're interested.
